"Room 325"

Hotel rooms are the fixed backdrop for perpetually changing scenes; while guests come and go, the rooms always return to their original state, ready to start over with the next guest. Room 325 at the Notre Dame Guesthouse hosts performances and art objects for one night. Curators: Leah Abir, Smadar Keren. (from "MANOFIM" website).

Umm Culture's performance in "Room 325"deals with concept of the art object as evidence. During the performance the artists act as a specialist crime scene investigation team that arrives to the hotel room in order to investigate an alleged crime. These acts of close investigation refer to the art work as a superior and holy object.
